Inezile Hlophe joins the Centre for Creative Arts as a cum laude graduate and advanced diploma Best Educational Theatre Award recipient from the Durban University of Technology. Armed with a passionate advocacy for education and the arts and coupled with a mindset that combines discipline, strength, confidence, and ambition, she will be mentored by the Centre’s Senior Administrator in cultural office leadership which will include contract administration, inventories management, front desk operations and will work as the Centre’s liaison officer for artist hospitality during the Centre’s festivals. Working alongside the Poetry Africa festival curatorial team, she will also manage the Centre’s monthly online poetry programme for schools, as well as oversee all operations for the Centre’s publications. Inezile believes that she can achieve anything she sets her mind to do. Professionally trained as an actress, director, and theatre facilitator, and with clear vision for a leadership role in the arts, Inezile will play a vital role in growing the Centre’s reputation as an efficient, accessible, and engaged cultural player.
