Sokunene Mali hails from Lusikisiki in the Eastern Cape and joins the Centre for Creative Arts as a graduate from the University of KwaZulu Natal holding a Bachelor of Social Sciences degree in Cultural and Heritage Tourism and Sociology. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts Honours in Tourism. She will be mentored by the Centre’s Senior Administrator in cultural office leadership which will include developing and growing the Centre’s database of audiences and be the Centre’s liaison officer for artist hospitality and guest relations during the Centre’s festivals. She will also work alongside with the Centre’s curatorial team and city partners to re-position the Centre’s festivals as a magnet for local, national and international cultural tourism.
