nise-malange-south-africaNise Malange, Scriptwriter, theatre director and poet, Nise obtained her Creative Writing Diploma from the University of Iowa (U.S.A.) and specialised in script writing, film and video production in Zimbabwe. She has worked extensively within the labour movement, and is a member of various editorial collectives and serves as a consultant to numerous organizations and institutions specialising in community newspaper, creative therapy and education project task groups. Nise Malange is the Director of the BAT Centre Trust and is one of South Africa 's leading arts and cultural practitioners. She has presented papers at national and international conferences. Her areas of expertise include cross-cultural communication, conflict resolution and mediation, project management and design, arts events co-ordination and the re-dressing of gender imbalances in society. She has produced a three part documentary focusing on Women in the Rural Areas and Women's Organisations in the New Democracy, and is currently working on her own collection of poetry due to be published at the end of 2001.
