Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre

This open performance platform provides an opportunity for up-coming choreographers (over 16 - some new to choreography and some professional dancers) to present their work in a professional environment with the support of a full technical team. This is one of the ways in which the JOMBA! festival offers assistance in developing new and young talent by offering them the space to experiment.  Selection of participants is done by a panel of experts via the scrutiny of entry forms. Preference is given to choreographers who have already made at least one work in the idiom of contemporary dance.

For 2013 we are delighted to be offering a rich and varied programme featuring the following choreographers;

031 Floor Assassins (Durban)

Kieron Jina (City Varsity, Johannesburg)

Bonwa Mbontsi and Teagan Peacock (Pietermaritzburg)
